Psychology Internship
The psychology internship program at UNI is an APA accredited program that provides comprehensive clinical training with severe and diverse psychopathology across the developmental continuum.
UNI currently offers three full-time predoctoral internship positions. All interns complete four-month rotations with child, adolescent and adult psychiatric populations. The internship program provides experience with:
- inpatient and day treatment populations
- training in numerous treatment modalities and various assessment techniques
- knowledge of hospital practice
- exposure to matters of professional practice
- diagnosis and assessment
- therapeutic intervention
- crisis intervention
- consultation and scholarly inquiry

- direct clinical experience

The breadth and depth of clinical experience combined with our training seminars/activities, and quality supervision creates a unique and excellent clinical internship experience.
All internship appointments are of a continuous 12-month period beginning at the end of August. Interns are paid a stipend of $20,579 and receive a comprehensive health/dental insurance benefits package, ten paid holidays, sick leave, and three weeks paid vacation.
