Where to go

The Airway Disorders Center is located at the Surgical Specialty Center, which is in the Imaging & Neurosciences building in University of Utah Research Park. You can check in at our front desk. At this time, you will be asked to verify insurance and contact information as well as complete necessary paperwork.

Bring your insurance card, any medical records that may be helpful to us, and a list of your medications.

What to Expect

You will be seen by a team of experts in airway disorders. We will ask you questions about your history of breathing problems, exam you, and review all available tests and studies. Our goal is to effectively treat your airway ailment in the most efficient and timely manner. To achieve this objective you may be required to go through two consecutive consultations, one with Dr. Smith and one with Dr. Elstad. If appropriate, we normally perform both consultations while you are here alleviating the need to come back for that second consultation at a future date. Please be advised this may require two co-payments for the two separate consultations.
