Community Education

community educationWe know the best way to treat a burn is to prevent it from happening in the first place. The Burn Center staff provides free education classes to schools and community groups. In addition, our staff offers continuing medical education for other health care providers on a variety of burn topics. Available Classes:

kids in classroomLevel I--Preschool through 6th grade

These presentations focus on education as well as prevention. Boy or girl scout groups, general public (lay person) and safety fairs.

Level II--7th grade through 12th grade

These presentations include more education and less prevention. Used for Nurse Aide training or Adult community education.

Level III--College Level

These presentations involve more theory and case presentations.
