TBI Grand Rounds - "Agitation and Behavior Management"

Dr. John Speed, M.B.B.S., Medical Director, Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program, will present "Agitation and Behavior Management". Also presenting is Justin MacKenzie, Ph.D. and Michelle Dinchecco , Mot, Otr/L. Tonight's focus will be the causes, assessment, and management of agitation after a brain injury. A framework for understanding agitation/irritability during rehab will be discussed and common interventions, focusing primarily on behavioral management techniques will be presented. Experts will also discuss the role of education on therapeutic management of agitation and how to educate family members on managing agitation in their own family member. Healthcare professionals who work with TbI or those interested in learning more about agitation and behavior management with brain injury patients are invited to attend.
