In order to detect lung cancer in high-risk individuals, the Huntsman Cancer Institute, under the direction of Dr. Shamus Carr, is now offering low-radiation-dose Ct (computed tomography) screening for lung cancer.

In order to detect lung cancer in high-risk individuals, the Huntsman Cancer Institute, under the direction of Dr. Shamus Carr, is now offering low-radiation-dose CT (computed tomography) screening for lung cancer. A recent National Lung Cancer Screening Trial (NLST) found 20 percent fewer lung cancer deaths among trial participants screened with CT scans. The for the first time a study has linked a screening to reducing mortality. If you or a loved one meets the screening criteria, schedule an appointment today.
