Brief Summary

The purpose of this research study is to develop a carotid MR imaging protocol that can be used with the different imaging systems and then use this protocol to insure the images are uniform across these imaging systems.  This is a multi-site study that will include the University of Utah, University of California San Francisco, Michigan State University, Stanford University and the University of Washington.  These sites were selected because of different imaging systems that they regularly use for imaging patients and their expertise in this field of medicine.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the equipment, software and contrast that will be used in this study.
