Walk to Cure Psoriasis 2010
We are anticipating another successful walk on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City. Last year, there was a total of 125 participants, including over 50 participants from the Department of Dermatology. Last year, the Salt Lake City walkers raised almost $20,000 for the National Psoriasis Foundation to help fund psoriasis research and advocacy efforts. This year's goal is to raise $30,000 and to have 200 participants.
This event is a family-friendly, noncompetitive 1k or 5k walk. Walkers raise funds by asking friends, relatives and co-workers to sponsor them. There are lots of prizes for those that raise money. For every $250 you raise, your name will be entered into a drawing for a trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands and there are many other prizes. You can either start your own team, or join one of several teams that have already been started within the Department of Dermatology. Can't make it to the walk? Consider making a donation.
