Pediatric Dermatology
At least 1 out of 5 children visit their pediatrician or family doctor for a skin problem. Such problems often include eczema, acne, warts, and moles. The Pediatric Dermatology Clinics at Primary Children’s Medical Center and the University of Utah are dedicated to assisting infants, children, and adolescents with these common skin problems. Evaluation and management of more unusual conditions, such as genetic skin disorders and birthmarks, is offered. Laser treatment for vascular birthmarks, including port wine stains and hemangiomas, is also available.
