About Education and Development
Our department provides training and education in six primary areas:
- Clinical Staff Education – BLS, ACLS, PALS, and other renewal and ongoing training for clinicians; support network for unit nurse educators and other clinical support trainers
- IT Training – Electronic medical record charting, patient registration system, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems training
- Patient Education – online repository of patient education materials and support systems for nurses and clinicians to teach their patients
- Student Programs – clinical placements, internships, and support for students in nursing and other clinical education programs
- Orientation – new employee orientation for clinical staff and managers, as well as orientation and training for specialized roles
- Trainer Essentials – Train-the-Trainer program and training room support for groups throughout the organization
Whether it’s an IT trainer teaching a program coordinator how to use PowerPoint, a clinical staff educator teaching CPR classes, nurses educators providing information and support to their unit, or a patient receiving comprehensive education materials the goal is the same; to provide Opportunities through Learning.
