  • Matthew R. Meek, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the University of Utah School of Medicine.

    Dr. Meek graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Meek completed combined residency training in Pediatrics, General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, Kentucky. He is currently working as a child and adolescent psychiatrist at Primary Children’s Hospital at the Wasatch Canyons Campus with the Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Unit and with the Adolescent Residential and Day Treatment Programs.

    Dr. Meek has an interest in improving systems of care, especially the interface between child psychiatry and other specialties. He has a special interest in developmental disorders including autism spectrum disorder.

    Dr. Meek speaks English and Spanish fluently. In addition to providing psychiatric care in Spanish, Dr. Meek is interested in working in Salt Lake City and surrounding communities to improve mental health services provided to minority populations.
