  • Dr. Gary Nelson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Neurology at the University of Utah. He is a general child neurologist and sees patients with any neurological concerns. He has special interest in pediatric stroke, quality improvement, and inpatient and critical care neurology.

    Dr. Nelson received his medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine after completing undergraduate training at Brigham Young University. He completed a Pediatrics residency and Pediatric Neurology fellowship at the University of Utah. He is board-certified in Neurology (with special qualification in Child Neurology).
