UofU Patient March 20, 2013Dr. Cahill is a joy to work with, and I trust her implicitly. If she told me that jumping off a tall building would make me feel better, I'd do it. I've noticed in recent appointments a "this is what we're going to do" approach to my care. I don't complain about that specifically because she's excellent at what she does, and things generally work out. I would like more input into the decision-making process. I would like it very much if she would say to me, "This is what is going on, and these are our options. The advantages and disadvantages of each one are ___, and I think doing ___ would be the best course of action because of ____. What do you think about that? Are you comfortable with that approach?" That would give me a much stronger sense of control over my own health, and I don't have that feeling right now.
