Bio

Dr. Corneli received his medical degree from University of Wisconsin, completed his pediatric residency at the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Medical Center, and his fellowship at Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati. He has been on the faculty at Utah since 1984. In 1997 he earned a Diploma in Statistics from Oxford University. Dr. Corneli is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics.

He is currently a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah and is in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Primary Children´s Medical Center, where he is a full-time staff physician in the Emergency Department.

His academic interests include biostatistics in medical decision making, accidental hypothermia, and infant respiratory diseases.

Academic Bio

Dr. Corneli is currently a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah and a clinical co-chair of the University of Utah Institutional Review Board.

Dr. Corneli received his medical degree from University of Wisconsin, completed his pediatric residency at the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Medical Center, and did his fellowship at Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati. In 1997 he earned a Diploma in Statistics from Oxford University. He has been on the faculty at Utah since 1984. Dr. Corneli is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Corneli has been a member of the Sub-board on Pediatric Emergency Medicine of the American Board of Pediatrics and served on its credentials committee, and been principal investigator on a grant from the Department of Health and Human Services.

His academic interests include biostatistics, medical decision making, accidental hypothermia, and emergency treatment of respiratory diseases.
