Dr. Dunn has two areas of special interest, reconstruction of the adult hip and knee and scoliosis. He trained at the Baylor University College of Medicine, and completed his residency there. Dr. Dunn served for twenty-five years as chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics. Having recently stepped down as chair, he now devotes three days a week to clinical practice and academic interests. His memberships include the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Association, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the Scoliosis Research Society, and the Western Orthopaedic Association. Dr. Dunn is the first recipient of the Louis S. Peery, M.D., Presidential Endowed Chair in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Utah.
