UofU Patient March 05, 2013You, Dr. Norton, referred to my 1993 Discharge Summary from my med history, and I was impressed that you took the time to read it and then you applied that info to my question. I feel safe in your thorough hands.

UofU Patient December 11, 2012I wish she didn't talk down to me as if I were a child. I have NEVER been late to an appointment; yet she praised me for coming on time this time. I am a 'doctor' in another field. I respect her knowledge and expertise; I wish she respected mine. I am scared about my upcoming after-surgery. I don't know how incapacitated I will be, what equipment I might need, how much help I will need, what I need to have on hand, etc. This is the most difficult clinic for me to visit.
UofU Patient November 17, 2012Dr. Norton chose to spend extra time with me, rather than having me make another follow-through appointment. However, she chose to tell me how she had been rude to other patients and robbed them of time by helping me, implying that I was guilty of something? When I asked if I should schedule a longer appointment with her, as my internist had told me to do when I had multiple issues to address, she said I was just lucky my doctor liked me because he wasn't paid for that extra time. She also told me that because she had spent so much time with me, I would have to give up time at my next appointment to compensate for what I had done to the other patients on that day. I was absolutely floored at her comments. I appreciate her renowned expertise, but do not understand why any doctor would speak to a patient in this way. She also lectured me about canceled appointments and how I had inconvenienced many people by my actions. I did not realize this had happened and tried to explain that they must have been early morning appointments affected by by rheumatoid arthritis; she told me to sche
UofU Patient November 16, 2012Dr. Norton was very concerned and informative. I would recommend her without hesitation.
UofU Patient November 12, 2012I had been told by a previous patient and hospital worker that the doctor was very caring as well as a good surgeon. My experience matched, if not exceeded this expectation.

UofU Patient January 18, 2012Dr. Norton is always very sweet and friendly. She treats me as a person, not just a patient. And is always concerned and very willing to answer questions.
