UofU Patient March 26, 2013I was very impressed with Dr. Olaffson. The only complaint I have is the outrageous expense. Your office did not take my VSP insurance so I have to pay out of pocket. I would love to return to your office next year for more contact lenses, but I don't know if I can afford your high prices.
UofU Patient March 25, 2013I was first seen by the resident who checked my vision etc. This person is always different with each visit. This may not be an issue but I was wondering if, with the subtleties of my vision issues such as keratoconus, if having the same doctor make the vision corrections would be more beneficial and consistent. For instance, after this last exam new contacts were ordered. After wearing them for several days I notice my vision is not as good as it was before. I know this can be caused by different things but I was wondering if different examiners could be an issue.

UofU Patient April 25, 2012Dr.Olafson is one of the best doctors I have ever worked with, I have alot of my health issues that are complex and so does my daughter, so I interact with alot of doctors. A trip to the Dr. is often more frustrating than helpful, but my visits with Dr. Olafson are always a good experience and I really appreciate that about him.

UofU Patient April 05, 2012When we left the office, we felt frustrated. We felt that the doctor did not validate our concerns or provide us with guidance and reassurance of the care of our daughter. We felt that he talked to us in a very demeaning way and that our concerns were inconsequential. We understand that he sees patients on a daily basis, even babies with contact lens, but it is the first time for us to have to make sure that the contact lens was fitting properly so our daughter could have the best chance of seeing. Instead of leaving the office feeling that we were on the right track and we were doing everything right, we felt the doctor thought we had wasted his time and that what we were saying was happening to the contact lens falling off our daughters eye was common and we should have known that.
UofU Patient April 05, 2012In my 2 hours at the clinic, I spent ~10 minutes with Dr. Olfson. It was clear that the doctor was running late because I felt his examination rushed. Having been a patient since 1999, I feel that Dr. Olfson is spending less time for routine eye examinations.
