Bio

Holly K. Barber is the Director and Founder of the Pilates Clinic and the University if Utah Orthopeadic Center. She has served as a leader in this role since 2012. She practices as a clinican and Pilates instructor at the University of Utah teaching patients and students how to master the skills of core health. She graduated from the University of Utah Physical Therapy Program in 2003 and furthered her training by certifing as a Pilates Instructor through the Pilated Method Alliance and Polestar Pilates Education in 2007. Her interests include wellness, spine health, teaching private and small group classes that are personable, fun, and challanging. She strives to achieve optimal outcomes with all patients, increase awareness of the benefits of Pilates, and inspire others to move in a healthy way. She publishes a monthly newsletter called Core News the educates, inspires, and supplements core training programs.

Academic Bio

Holly K. Barber, PT, specializes in Pilates for Rehabilitation. Pilates in rehabilitation involves skill mastery of specific core exercises that builds a stable foundation in order to heal orthopedic injuries, train correctly and safely. Her approach focuses on core strength while healing and preventing orthopeadic injuries and includes a personalized core training program. She works primarily with Pilates beginners and athletes with a special interest in spine health. She is a physical therapist (PT) at the UOC who founded and directs the Pilates Rehab Clinic. The Pilates clinic includes small group reformer classes, individual private training, and physical therapy. She also publishes a monthly newsletter called Core News to educate and individuals about health and core training.
