I alwasy refer people to HCH, HCI because of the fabulous treatment I receive from my doctor and her PA's, NP's etc. I always feel like I am treated as a person, not as a condition, and that my opinions of my treatments are valued. Thank you!

UofU Patient April 22, 2013I have nothing to say bad about the Care Provider. I had cancer over 30 years ago and the difference in how they approached the situation was totally different. I believe that a positive attitude about situations in life can make all of the difference in the world in how you respond to various treatments. I realize that you need to be realistic but at the same time you need to be positive. When a person that is being treated feels like there is little if any hope they lose the desire to fight and the will to live.

In our first visit, they spent almost the whole day with me, which never happens and was most impressive. In that first visit they had a working diagnosis and were formulating a plan of treatment. My symptoms are complex, and after spending 4 months with a doctor who could not come up with a diagnosis, Dr. Glenn's knowldge and expertise were a welcome relief to my wife and I.

UofU Patient February 10, 2012In the beginning 1 1/2 yrs I did not feel this provider explained well enough. It was a very frightening experience and we didn't understand. After the treatment was completed we were told the cancer is still there and they would now just treat symptoms. When we left we thought that mean't they had given up. At this point the expanations are adequate because we know more, I think. By treating symptoms it means that they are monitoring the cancer to assure it is not growing but are not inturrupting it.?

After this appointment, I felt for the first time that I understood what has been happening to me, how my cancer history affects my present life, and how I might expect to go on. It was a revelatory experience for us-- this is what medical care should be for everyone. I felt so lucky to have come to Huntsman.
