Bio

Dr. Janet Harnsberger received her medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She completed her pediatric internship and residency at the University Of Utah School of Medicine and then continued at the U of U for her fellowship training in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. She was in private practice in Salt Lake City until July 2012 when she joined the University Medical School faculty. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology.

Dr. Harnsberger is currently a clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah. She is a member of the national Scientific Advisory Boards for Pediatric Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease and for Pediatric Celiac Disease. She has been named to the Best Doctor’s in America yearly since 1998.

She sees patients at Primary Children’s Medical Center and Primary Children’s Riverton Hospital. She will continue to teach about Pediatric Gastroenterology topics locally, nationally and internationally. She has started a collaborative research project to study the outcomes of surgical treatments for children with complex constipation.
