Lindsay H. Wilson, MD is the director of the Department of Dermatology’s first Women’s Skin Health Center that caters to services women want and accommodates their special needs. Dr. Wilson has specialized expertise in the treatment of women’s skin diseases including adult female acne, hair loss, pregnancy dermatoses, skin cancer, vulvar diseases such as lichen planus, lichen sclerosus and lichen simplex chronicus. In addition, she enjoys caring for both male and female general and medical dermatology patients in her clinics.

Academic Bio

Dr. Lindsay Wilson is an Instructor in the Department of Dermatology with a clinical and academic focus on women’s skin health and medical education. She completed medical school at the University of Utah School of Medicine, and a transitional internship at Intermountain Medical Center. She subsequently completed a dermatology residency at the University of Utah. She was awarded a Women’s Dermatology Mentorship Award during residency that has allowed her to train with national experts in Women’s Dermatology.

Dr. Wilson strongly values medical education and improving teaching methods. She directs medical student education for the Department of Dermatology and organizes the first and second year preclinical courses as well as the third and fourth year dermatology clinical rotations. She enjoys mentoring medical students interested in dermatology as a career and is serving as the Co-director of Medical Student Education and Mentoring for the department. She is a member of the Integrated Skin Exam Consortium comprised of a national group of dermatology educators, working to improve medical students ability to detect melanoma during their clinical practice.
