Robert Birch, D.O. is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. Originally from Kansas, Dr. Birch got his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University, then attended the Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of Utah in 1990. Currently, Dr. Birch is an Assistant Clinical Professor in Adult Psychiatry with a specialty in substance abuse and addiction. He is a staff physician for inpatients at the University Neuropsychiatric Institute as well as Medical Director for Wasatch Recovery. He is also an active member of The American Osteopathic Association, Utah Board of Psteopathic Physicians and Sugeons, American College of Neuropsychiatrists and Utah Medical Association.
