Bio

Trece Swanson, DNP, CNM is a Certified Nurse Midwife at the University of Utah. She received both a Master of Science (MS) degree and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the University of Utah. She is a board certified nurse-midwife, and a member of the Utah Chapter of the American College of Nurse-Midwives. She has 16+ years of experience in high risk obstetrics and gynecology. She has served as Chief Flight Nurse for OB AirMed, Education Coordinator for OB Emergency Services and Labor & Delivery, and Clinical Coordinator for the department of OB/Gyn Nurse Practitioners. Her areas of clinical interest and expertise include all aspects of women's healthcare, particularly family planning and high-risk pregnancies. In 2010 she helped to develop the Preterm Birth Prevention Clinic for the Utah Department of Health. In her free time, she enjoys nordic and downhill skiing, hiking, climbing, kiteboarding, biking and spending time with family and friends.
