Bio

Dr. Jeremy Kendrick recently joined the University faculty after completing residency in Pediatrics and a combined residency/fellowship in Adult, Child, and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Kendrick currently practices inpatient psychiatry at the University Neuropsychiatric Institute where he works with children and adolescents. As a Pediatrician as well as a Psychiatrist, Dr. Kendrick also has interest in the process of collaboration between primary care providers and specialists. He and three of his colleagues have created a unique program utilizing technology to facilitate communication between primary care Physicians and Psychiatrists with input directly from patients and parents (www.gateutah.org). Dr. Kendrick is also interested in medical informatics and the use of technology to improve efficiency and outcomes in health care.

Academic Bio

Dr. Kendrick graduated from the University of Utah School of medicine before completing residency training in Pediatrics as well as Adult/Child/Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Utah. He has multiple publications in a variety of areas of interest between Pediatrics and Psychiatry. His research interests include bio-medical informatics, medical education, and the interface of specialists and primary care through innovative consultation approaches. He is currently working with other physicians on GATE, "Giving Access To Everyone", which is a pilot program for psychiatric consultations in the primary care setting.
