August 28, 2016

I am so glad I have Dr Fang and for the excellent care he gives me

July 16, 2016

good, caring doctor who communicates very well and is well qualified

June 08, 2016

I appreciated that he spoke with me at a level commensurate to someone with research experience and some graduate level education. Although I don't find it too vexing, the vast majority of experiences I've had with healthcare providers has felt subtly patronizing.

April 30, 2016

I trust Dr. Fang. He listens and addressed my problems with learned expertise.

March 22, 2016

Excellent. I met with three doctors (Dr. Fang + 2) and a pharmacist. All were very knowledgeable and put me at ease with their prognosis

February 10, 2016

I very much the team approach with the pharmacist and Dr. Fang. They both really listened and took the time to explain everything so that after all my questions were answered I felt like I was very informed as to what we were going to be doing.

February 06, 2016

I really wanted to see the Doctor more. I appreciated the medical student who took most of my time but I have great trust and confidence in the physician I had the first time. I would have liked to have had more time with him.

February 05, 2016

Very thorough explanation of treatment.

January 15, 2016

Dr Fang is the best!

November 13, 2015

Both Dr Patel and Dr Fang were very courteous and helpful

October 30, 2015

Perfect!

October 30, 2015

The medical team is amazing! Truly an exceptional experience. I am sorry I do not remember the name of the individual who checked me into my room as she was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and calming. She asked appropriate questions and encouraged me to manage my diabetes on a daily basis.

October 30, 2015

This is the second time I woke up during the procedure. Both times I informed the nurse that my veins are hard to find. The first time someone had to come in and put in a new needle during the procedure. This time the drip was too slow. Fortunately, this time i went back to sleep pretty fast.

October 28, 2015

Good

October 19, 2015

all they did was talk to each other about what to do for me. They were talking about putting me on an anti-depressant and then tried to say that they where just talking medical terminology, I would of liked to of heard them being concerned about what I have been going through and if there is more going on with me than what I had previously been in for. Maybe ask me more about what I could be doing or another solution to help ease my pain instead of just changing my medicine. I would really like to get to why I hurt most the time and I am tired of just taking a pill to see if that will help me feel better.

October 11, 2015

Dr. Fang is absolutely the best.

September 30, 2015

Very pleased - my wife was also very pleased with everyone

September 30, 2015

The nurses were great - explained everything and were always smiling and cheerful but very professional

September 30, 2015

Very good experience - the nurses and doctor were terrific

September 23, 2015

I would be sure to advise them to remember their numbing cream if they had a port. Oh, yes I have never forgot to use my cream prior to this occasion.

September 22, 2015

I was greeted warmly, my history and physical were reviewed, IV was started and preoperative and postoperative expectations discussed and questions were answered. A very efficient staff and physician made the experience essentially painless and worry free. Having had this procedure at other institutions I can say this was by far the best coordination and completion of endoscopy I have had in the Salt Lake valley.

September 22, 2015

Clearly, the endoscopy center has created an exemplary patient centered care practice, that I highly recommend to others.

September 22, 2015

The nursing staff we friendly, informative, professional and kind. The physician was similarly centered around my care and experience which exemplifies what the University of Utah has done to create a culture of personalized caring.

September 21, 2015

All I can say is 'wow'! Thanks for making such an uncomfortable experience tolerable. All staff were helpful & friendly. I will definitely be recommending others to the University. I appreciated the flexibility of the nurse who administered the anesthesia in listening & following my preferences.

September 19, 2015

Very impressed with Dr.Fang. He was a wonderful listener!!!, empathic, elicits the feeling of confidence, great bedside manner. Restored my faith in doctors. The u is lucky to have him.

September 15, 2015

ALL GOOD

Dr. Fang is the best. Tye, Sheridan, and the recovery nurses were wonderful!

September 07, 2015

great experience

September 07, 2015

all people were informative and could not have been better. Dr Fang made me feel very comfortable as well as very informed on my surgery

September 07, 2015

my experience will all people during and after the procedure were excellent. My confidence in Dr Fang was very high.

September 01, 2015

Dr. Fang took the time to have a real conversation. He did not seem rushed even though he was clearly busy.

September 01, 2015

The staff is very helpful and their is clearly a positive culture within the department. A little thing that is very nice is the warm blanket.

August 10, 2015

EMT explained things in great detail and was very understanding about my concerns.

August 02, 2015

I have recommended my physician to several people.

August 02, 2015

Wonderful care, as I mentioned previously.

August 02, 2015

My physician and the entire staff were wonderful, as they have always been for my previous visits.

July 31, 2015

All were very professional and extremely skilled.

July 31, 2015

The Center and Dr. Feng have already been recommended!

July 27, 2015

I think that Dr.Valentine was told I had polyp before. He checked my data in U and could not find any polyp. He asked me about polyp before the processor. I told him that I had polyp when I had processor at the different facility. That is why there was no record before 2004 that was my first Colonoscopy at U. I was impressed that he checked my data before the processor.

July 21, 2015

Print out and photos obtained during the procedure were excellent helps in remembering key points communicated by Dr. Fang.

July 21, 2015

ALL GOOD

July 21, 2015

Dr. Fang and Nursing staff are outstanding! Very helpful and obviously concerned about my comfort and support.

July 17, 2015

Staff was great!

July 10, 2015

Again - no surgery, but the nurse was perfect. The only thing about the waiting time was the back up because no one was at registration.

July 10, 2015

had to have procedure and everything turned out fine

July 10, 2015

it needed to be done and by the best it was

July 10, 2015

this is the place for best care

July 09, 2015

Dr Fang was recommended. I felt very confident in him and was not disappointed.

July 09, 2015

The nurse who started the IV did an excellent job. I could tell she was experienced, knowledgeable and cared about my comfort and well being.

July 06, 2015

Appt was scheduled for 10:45, however did not go in until 2pm. The added wait with the restriction of food and liquids was not fun..

June 27, 2015

Very pleased with Dr. Fang's care he gives me every time I go in to see him.

March 07, 2015

Dr. Fang and his fellow were so willing to listen to me and they were just as perplexed as I was. But at least they are willing to fight this fight with me. I have known Fang for years now and I completely trust his judgement. I love how happy he always is.

February 07, 2015

I had a few questions but failed to write them down so I would remember them however the doctor was quite thorough so it worked out.

December 23, 2014

Simply the best!

November 19, 2014

Excellent

September 27, 2014

Dr. John Fang is professional, friendly, likeable and funny. Thank you for seeing me.

September 07, 2014

Excellent provider.

August 13, 2014

It's nice to know I'm getting advice and treatment from the best of the best. I could tell because of how I was treated, how Dr. Fang carried himself, how concerned he was about helping me find the best care possible for my specific condition, and didn't make me feel hurried at all. 100% recommend him.

June 07, 2014

he took plenty of time to answer all of our questions and explain what he was thinking. he was very pleasant and assuring that he could help me.

June 06, 2014

Dr. Fang was very personal and concerned about my health and function of eating and swallowing. He offered options regarding further tests since surgery and gave me the choice to choose what and when.

June 04, 2014

We were taken from the exam room to the scheduler for procedures. Dr. Fang disappeared. We didn't have the opportunity to ask him about continuing on a liquid diet. That was a big deal for me and big question.

May 16, 2014

I have been a patient of Dr. Fang's on and off for many years based on my needs. He always shows genuine concern for my issues and asks all the right questions to get at the core of my problems. Dr. Fang takes his time with me and always puts a lot of thought into the process of recommending a course of action or treatment. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Dr. Fang to others. I consider myself one of the lucky ones that is fortunate to have Dr. Fang on my team of doctors. Dr. Fang is a 5+.

April 13, 2014

He didn't talk to me that long, he did no examination and seemed to get frustrated really easy.

February 07, 2014

I have the highest level of confidence in Dr. Fang and his abilities. He is a great listener and a quick study. Since we don't yet know what I am dealing with, Dr. Fang is trying to come up with a diagnosis through the process of elimination. He laid out a systematic and logical plan and discussed the different procedures with me to make sure I was comfortable with each one.

June 11, 2013

Dr. Fang was more thorough with me than I have been in a long time with the GI clinic. I miss Dr. Peterson, but Dr. Fang is just as good!

June 11, 2013

Dr. Fang always makes me feel that he is trying everything he can. I just love him.He is very easy to talk with and Sarah treats me like she has know me for along time. This makes a patient know that even though I am a complex pain in the butt, they always make me feel at ease. Dr. Glasgow is just as great. I know that they are doing everything they can. And they keep each other informed. I just can't say enough about how great they are.

June 10, 2013

My care provider was Dr. John Fang and he was very informative and spend time with me prior to my procedure as well as after. I have complete confidence in his ability and would highly recommend him and the U to anyone.

May 21, 2013

Doctor recognized the degree and severity of my symptoms. Made helpful diagnostic referrals and follow up procedure.

April 29, 2013

I'n very happy. No problem

March 12, 2013

My experiences with Dr. Fang have always been good. He takes time to listen and discuss any problems. He seems genuinely interested in the individual patient.

March 11, 2013

The visit with Dr. Fang was great! I had seen other doctors before and the time I was with Dr. Fang in that single visit was longer than all of my other GI specialist appointments combined. I was very pleased with all that happened

February 11, 2013

Great Doc, very honest and fun.

January 21, 2013

It was very nice that Dr Fang had a pharmacist involved w the vist. Tony was also very helpful.

December 04, 2012

excellent

October 16, 2012

After several tests unable to find problem

July 17, 2012

Everything was good especially Dr Fang

April 25, 2012

very accomodating

March 21, 2012

After waiting so long to get in, I was a little dissapointed that I still had to go through more tests before I find out anything that can be done. I'm just so tired of dealing with the Gastroparesis & I want to get it under control so I can get my life back!

February 15, 2012

Dr Fang is frustrated with my condition because he doesn't know what else to try. I have to see him because he is the only doctor in Utah that is knowledgeable about the gastric stimulator i have.

January 25, 2012

I did see Dr. Fang for a minute but I felt like it was not enough. No one had my records from my previous time with him. I was looking for options, ideas, and knowledge about my disease. Do I have any options - besides surgery? I felt liked I deserved more. I am not sure if there is anywhere else in Salt Lake to get help with Achalasia. I am discouraged about getting help.
