I felt that the Dr. took more time than he planned to answer my questions and concerns about my healing process. It was very helpful to me and I felt that I was a person to him and not a "widget".

March 08, 2014

Dr. Southwick and the PA's, nurses and others that I dealt with appeared to be totally involved in and concerned about my care. They seemed totally focused on me and my situation. Our meeting was a two-way dialog and not a lecture. I appreciated that. Very professional and very involved.

February 17, 2014

I need more experience with the staff in order to provide a higher rating

February 03, 2014

I've never had a more attentive or caring physician than Dr. Southwick.

January 19, 2014

I was anxious and stressed in anticipation of both visits-having to face a new medical team and the "unknown", On both occasions I felt a HUGE relief and an inner peace afterwards at the care I received and the genuiness of everyone. I have already recommended Dr Southwick and his team to a friend with a significant potential "problem". Unfortunately he was not available for some weeks but he does have an appointment with Dr Ensign and I feel confident he will be well taken care of.

December 30, 2013

Dr. Southwick was very thorough and professional in explaining my situation and appropriate treatment. I'm hoping for the best possible result.

I have great confidence in and respect for Dr. Southwick. I feel privileged to be his patient.

October 15, 2013

Just wish he had gone a bit slower, so i could more effectively absorb what he was telling me. But that's a minor point. I was impressed with him.

The treatment and followup couldn't be better.

August 27, 2013

The DR. was willing to explain options, timeframes with no urgency or rush to operate if needed.

August 21, 2013

Dr. needs to keep updated information about surgical options on the Urology web site since there are so many options with both pluses and minuses.

July 02, 2013

Dr. Southwick was superb.

June 25, 2013

I am sooooo impressed with Dr Southwick and the entire Urology staff. They are friendly and show genuine concern. He explains things in an easy-to-understand manner. And, when he arrives in the room, he is already knowledgeable about my situation and doesn't have to be brought up-to-date.

June 25, 2013

At this point (after just one visit) it's little early to make any substantial judgments or recommendations, but the caretaker seems knowledgeable.

May 22, 2013

Dr. Southwick is outstanding...the fact that he works with and for veterans is especially important to me; it demonstrates that he cares "above and beyond" and also has exceptional insight and experience into veteran related health care issues. I trust Dr. Southwick implicitly...he is a fine doctor!

February 25, 2013

Dr. Southwick was outstanding! He went above and beyond in his thoroughness and concern. I have recommended him to a friend.

December 25, 2012

I answered with two individuals in mind, the Urology Resident who came into my exam room first, then the Urologist himself. As a new patient, and quite aware of cancer issues, I came to the appointment with some specific questions in mind. Although professional, I thought the Resident could have been a bit more accepting and affirming of my general urology questions. On the contrary, he seemed a bit amused, and I wasn't confident his answers were always spot on. This was not the case with the Urologist, who seemed competent and inviting of my inquiries. In summary: if patients are going to own their care, doctors (especially those in training) must invite questions.

November 20, 2012

Dr. Southwick honored our desire to try non-surgical methods.

November 02, 2012

All the staff always goes out of their way to meet our needs

October 23, 2012

Dr. Southwick is an extraordinary doctor he brings a caring but no nonsense expertise to his practice I am very confident in his care.

September 25, 2012

I've had this procedure several times and in comparison this doctor was magic. His care and technique were extraordinary. The biopsy was virtually painless after anesthesia.

September 18, 2012

Dr. Southwick's manner, approach and demeanor almost instantly engenders confidence and trust in his professional skills, knowledge and abilities. He not only provides full explanations of one's condition and the options for treatment, he also listens to the patient and honors the patient's self-knowledge and insights.

September 18, 2012

My family doctor made the first appointment for me, and I have been very, very pleased with her choice. Dr Southwick explains everything, and he is so easy to talk to. He treated me as an equal--not something I've always found with doctors.

August 27, 2012

does not rush thru meeting and spends toime explaining and addessing issues in spite of being "behind schedule."

July 10, 2012

I was able to meet Dr. Southwick and thank him myself for performing the surgery...I sincerely wanted to thank him! He answered all of my questions and allowed me to observe the procedure of taking "out" the stent! It was incredible! I was very gratefu

June 20, 2012

Dr. Southwick is fantastic. I havce already recommended him to others. He did a superb job solving my problem.

March 17, 2012

outstanding

March 17, 2012

Excellent--couldn't ask for better.

March 17, 2012

I have recommended the urology clinic to others. Dr. Southwick is a doctor who knows exactly how to explain things to my understanding. My wife (who has been to nursing school) also agrees that he is as good as doctors come in his explanations.

January 21, 2012

Dr.Southwick is very professional and right to the point, and speaks in laymen terms.
