Bio

Allison Kierstead, M.D., is a board-certified internal medicine physician. She received her medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine and also completed her medical residency in Utah. Prior to becoming a physician, she worked in the pharmaceutical research field for 10 years.

As an endurance and adventure racer, Dr. Kierstead relates easily with athletes and their health concerns. Her focus is on preventive health and wellness. In her free time, she enjoys backcountry touring, skate skiing, running, cycling, and swimming. In addition, she is an active volunteer at events her children participate in.

“My goal as a physician is to give my patients the information, guidance and tools to improve their health. I strongly believe in making sure there is good scientific evidence for the interventions that I propose, be they medications, vitamins, or lifestyle modifications. I am a strong advocate for achieving a healthy lifestyle.”
