UofU Patient May 07, 2013It did not entirely occur to me during the time I was there for the check-up but, after having seen me last year for pneumonia, I wondered why he didn't have more to say/ do about the wheezing he found in my lungs during the the appointment.

UofU Patient October 23, 2012Dr. Qwens is friendly, but if I call in for anything the answer is you need to be seen. Even if is for a refill. I could have been seen in the last 1-2 months but I still need to be seen first. I can't afford to be seen monthly. Between that and his office staff I think it is time for me to find a new PCP.

UofU Patient September 21, 2012Dr Owen demonstrated great care and compassion for both my mother and my concerns, as he always does. I was quite frustrated with what I felt was inept care offered my mother in the office a week and a half prior to this visit. Dr Owen patiently listened as I expressed my concerns and showed compassion and concern.
UofU Patient September 18, 2012I was there with my wife, she had the appointment. I received a flu shot simply because I was there and had not had one yet this year and my wife also received one. That was not the purpose of the visit but the doctor recognized it as a need.

We did establish with another but have not had that connection. We have thouroghly loved seeing Dr Owen and feel that we have made the "lost connection" tht we have been looking for. We appreciate his patience and sincerity with our son. He has many challanges and Dr Owen has made time for us and made us feel that we are his #1 priority in the office and we very much appreciate it. t Thak you for the wonderful service!

I trust Dr. Owen to be forthright in discussing the etiology of my complaint, recommendations of the most viable treatment options and suggestions for appropriate follow-up that includes actions for me top take that will improve my outcome(s). Dr. Owen dedicates the time necessary to address my concerns and understanding about my care. Dr. Owen has provided care and advice even while being on vacation with his family outside of work hours. Dr. Owen stays in contact with physicians to whom I am referred for specialty care and provides me with an integrated perspective of my clinical condition.

He listens to me and always makes me feel that my voice matters. I DO NOT LIKE doctors in general, but I can honestly say that I trust Dr. Owen completely, and that is a first for me. He has always made me feel like I was less like a medical file and more like a person.

UofU Patient April 14, 2012Dr. Owen is the man, he double booked us on a Friday night on his last appointment at 5:30 to see our daughter. I'm sure that this caused him to be late to his own family. When he came in he was happy and kind not frustrated that we added more work for him on the weekend. He gave great advice and even gave us the script and told us that we could fill it if it got worse. This was amazing because it saved us a second trip to the doc office.

UofU Patient February 18, 2012I wouldn't recommend anybody for the South Jordan clinic. It was an impersonal experience. Self-checking, wait for 30 minutes, go into the room and see absolutely nobody. Horrible the way it is setup
UofU Patient February 16, 2012I feel like the exam and information are pretty routine without any real actionable recommendations. There is also little positive reinforcement; for example my blood pressure, which has been an issue, was down considerably but got no mention. My blood sugar was down a full point (which info I only got from a follow up phone call from a nurse) but instead of acknowledgment I was told it was high. I had to ask for the A1C number after only being told it was higher (no duh! I'm diabetic) Made me wonder if the Dr. even connected the test info with my personally.
