UofU Patient April 12, 2013Dr. Murnin was very engaged. Asked questions about conditions from prior visits that were not part of this particular visit. This is excellent, and shows a high degree of awareness and concern.
UofU Patient March 23, 2013Rapid strep-test was negative but sore throat was extremely painful with swollen tonsils and difficulty speaking and swallowing. I requested a numbing gargle rinse that a different doctor prescribed before, but this doctor didn't give me anything and just said to use over-the-counter remedies. I understand that he didn't prescribe antibiotics because the strep test was negative, but the test was done by an intern who barely swabbed my throat. I had my doubts that the test was accurate. I returned the next day with worse symptoms and white spots on my tongue, which a nurse performed a full culture and said it would take up to three days to get results. Fortunately, symptoms gradually improved on their own. I just felt like the visit was for nothing, at least they could have prescribed something for symptom relief.
UofU Patient March 19, 2013He was very friendly, professional and thorough. I liked that he didn't seem like he was in a hurry. He was willing to spend time talking to me, and he made me very comfortable in the exam room.

Care was good and when I received an appt, reminder call I requested several minutes for concerns and was told it will be ok. The Dr. seemed in a hurry and left after main concern was handled. I felt out in the dark on a couple of issues

UofU Patient August 20, 2012I am not sure if Dr. Murnin was in a hurry for some reason on my last visit, but he did seem like he was in one. All in all, fair. I did n't feel like he paid a ton of attention to everything I was telling him, but the gist of the visit was handled well enough.

UofU Patient July 09, 2012Dr Murnin is not my regular doctor and I appreciated being able to make an appointment and be treated. He was the doctor I saw when this problem occurred in December 2011. Dr. Murnin is a very good doctor and most helpful !!!!
UofU Patient June 25, 2012I was not impressed by Dr. Murmin when he first came into the room. He ask a couple of questions and I explained that my prev records were supposed to have been faxed over to him. He could not find them. I was suffering from swelling in my legs and feet. He looked at them without showing concern. He said he wanted to look at the records from before. I expected a call or some kind of communication after he saw them. It has been two weeks and I haven't heard anything. He wanted to do an ultra sound but I didn't think it was necessary. He didn't seem to be concerned about an underlying reason to what may be causing this. but said perhaps my veins may just be getting weak. This was not acceptable to me and I left the office very angry and frustrated. I will not return to see Dr. Murmin. I will continue to locate a specialist which was what I wanted to see in the beginning.

UofU Patient May 08, 2012I would like it if Dr. Murnin would sum up his expectations for results and follow up at the end of the visit. I usually end up doing this and Dr. Murnin readily responds. It would be even more useful if he would give a summary of where we are in the treatment, what to expect, and how to follow up before sending me home.
