Bio

Dr. Sanders is a board certified Associate Professor of Radiology. A former Air Force flight surgeon, he is fellowship trained and subspecialized in Musculoskeletal Radiology since 2001. His clinical interests include internal derangement of joints, skeletal developmental variants and their adverse effects on joint biomechanics, and peripheral nerve imaging. His research interests include comparative anatomy and functional morphology of vertebrates, as well as investigations in animal physiology. He has published 14 peer reviewed original research papers (including Science in 2001), and 2 review articles as well as 5 book chapters, in addition to being the managing editor of Diagnostic and Surgical Imaging Anatomy – Musculoskeletal . He serves as the radiology member of the University of Utah Trauma Committee, HCI Sarcoma Service memeber, as well as the Hogle Zoo liaison for advanced veterinary imaging.
