  • Irene received her doctorate degree in nursing practice from the University of Utah in 2014. Prior to joining the Cardiology Clinic, she practiced as an independent clinician at Health Clinics of Utah providing primary care for patients from all ages and with diverse healthcare needs. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked at the inpatient Cardiovascular and Cardiac Catheterization Recovery units at the University Hospital caring for patients with cardiovascular conditions, such as myocardial infarction, dysrhythmia, coronary bypass surgery, valvular diseases, cardiomyopathy and heart failure.

    Irene's professional interests include cardiovascular medicine, preventive health and gerontology. She is committed to promote healthy aging for all individuals. In her leisure time, she enjoys travelling, hiking, cooking, baking, and singing.
