I appreciate Dr. Marrisa G.'s ability to sift through the myraid of symptoms, careful analysis and willingness to stay on top of my health issues rather than be reactionary later on. I have been seeing her for a few years now and am very satisfied with her care. Her intelligence and kindness are a very rate combination. I never feel like she is trying to rush me or push me out the door like a number. Great doctor.

I have some complicated medical problems exacerbated by type 1 diabetes - and she has been a blessing in helping me figure this out. She's been great at answering all of my questions and taking things one step at a time.

She explains everything to me in a way I can reexplain it to my family. She is very competent, and I feel completely safe with her as my doctor.

UofU Patient December 17, 2012The doctor was in a hurry to leave. I did not expect for her to stay and talk for a long time. She just seemed like she can't wait to leave. She did not even bother to ask if I have any more questions or concerns. She just said she needs to go get my lab ordered and that meant she was done with me. I do not think she was getting paid peanuts for that appointment with me but I sure think I did not get my money's worth. I left the examination room with some questions still in my mind and wanted to ask the nurse if I could ask the doctor more questions, but I decided not to bother. The doctor just gave me the impression of being stand-offish and did not want to be bothered. Sure, Grotzke might be smart but what is a smart doctor if the patient does not gain from it?

UofU Patient January 04, 2012Except the notes that I was mailed, instead of what to do for the deficiency are full of inaccuracies....So maybe she didn't listen as well as I thought, or even look at the form I filled out. Especially on current meds.
