Bio

Cynthia is an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner and the Clinical Operations Manager for the Center for Investigational Therapeutics (Phase I Trials) at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Her primary interests are in gastrointestinal cancers and cancer research. Cynthia currently cares for patients who participate in Phase I clinical trials at the Huntsman, and works with others at the Institute to ensure exceptional care for these patients. She is a sub-investigator for over 30 trials, and co-manages the Phase I Clinical Trial staff.

Cynthia obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing from Kent State University in New Philadelphia, Ohio in 1977. She worked several years as a chemotherapy nurse prior to completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio in 2002. Her Master of Science in Nursing was obtained from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2006, where she received awards for her academic and clinical achievements.
