Dr. Traci David is a board certified adult /child and adolescent psychiatrist who has worked as a hospitalist at the University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute since 1993 treating children, adolescents, and adults on the inpatient units and in the Kidstar/Teenscope day treatment programs. She is currently working at the University of Utah Neurobehavior/HOME Program treating children, adolescents, and adults with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities. Dr. David has worked in the community mental health system in Salt Lake City and Moab, Utah in the past treating children and adolescents in outpatient, day treatment, and residential settings with an interest in treating patients with serious and persistent mental illness. She has experience in the treatment of juvenile sexual offenders, court involved and at risk youth, drug and alcohol dependency, and school violence risk assessment.

Academic Bio

Dr. Traci David graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine combined BA/MD Program in 1987. She completed her psychiatry residency and child psychiatry fellowship training at the University of Utah in 1992 and is board certified in adult and child psychiatry. Dr. David worked in the Valley Mental Health system treating children and adolescents in outpatient, day treatment, and residential settings with experience in the treatment of juvenile sexual offenders, drug and alcohol dependency, and school violence risk assessment. Dr. David worked as an inpatient psychiatrist at the University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute treating children, adolescents, and adults from 1993 to 2008. She joined the Univeristy of Utah School of Medicine and Department of Psychiatry in 2005. She is currently affiliated with the University of Utah HOME Program treating children, adolescents, and adults with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities
