UofU Patient May 08, 2013Great to find a physician who recognized the medical condition and good provide additional information sources
UofU Patient May 07, 2013Dr is one of the rare DR.that really listens,he showes genuine concern for my well being
UofU Patient May 01, 2013Felt very confident about the doctor and the resident. Wished I had thought to ask more questions. THey seemed very confident which installed confidence in me. So I just trusted the plan of treatment provided. Later, when reality struck and I was experiencing pain again, I wished I could talk to them and ask more questions about how common what I am experiencing is and if they could give me more understanding about why the dyskinesia and dystonia is happening to me. However, the email which I have used since has been most helpful.
UofU Patient April 26, 2013Dr Shprecher is very empathetic and is good at explaining medicines and why he is recommending what he does. He then gives you written instructions.
UofU Patient April 25, 2013For the first time in my life, I received answers to my health problem that made sense.
UofU Patient April 22, 2013From my experience your neurological center is very proficient
UofU Patient April 22, 2013I do not evr want to get shots from anyone else, so he better never leave me...We tried shots in new places and still waiting to see how they work at the month mark...
UofU Patient April 19, 2013I was called later after this appointment and told by Dr. Shprecher's assistant that I had been prescribed a med that the Dr. hadn't told me about, so I was a bit confused. However, we got it cleared up and the Dr. worked with me on this drug.
UofU Patient April 15, 2013Provider demonstrated superior knowledge of my problem.
UofU Patient April 12, 2013Am impressed with the time Dr. Shprecher spends with his patients and the medical students that come in with him. He is a very good teacher.
UofU Patient April 09, 2013Meds are always confusing. Side effects continue to be concerning.
UofU Patient April 08, 2013We went for a specific problem. He addressed another problem instead of the problem we had to come to get help for.
UofU Patient March 25, 2013I feel that I now know what to expect
UofU Patient March 25, 2013Dr shprecher was really helpful. He took genuine interest and explained thoughtfully and clearly
UofU Patient March 18, 2013Physician very generous with his time, allowing me to ask questions and discuss any concerns without feeling rushed. Too many times a physician seems to push things along and rush through the visit, many times leaving questions and concerns unanswered.
UofU Patient March 15, 2013I feel very fortunate that I have been able to be examined by Dr. Shprecher. I believe he has just the right background and insights to help me with an illness that went a year-and-a-half without diagnosis until I was able to see him and Drs. Singleton and Gibson. I have every confidence in his abilities.
UofU Patient March 13, 2013excellent he explained any i would question and plus more that he might think Iwould not know
UofU Patient March 12, 2013Compared to the neurologist saw last (10 Jan 2013), this is a complete turn around. We felt that the doctor cared about her.

UofU Patient December 27, 2012I very much appreciate Dr Sphrecher's scope of clinical knowledge, his ability to consider new theories and keeping an open mind in order to help me get an accurate dx and improve my quality of life.
UofU Patient December 24, 2012not completely sure diagnosis is correct ? no Doctors have been sure of what the issue is, it seems, so I'm not really sure. I'm willing to try medication prescribed, as I have not had any success with any previous doctors in the past year. I am very hopeful this treatment will be successful.
UofU Patient December 19, 2012Exceptional Dr. kind, caring, professional
UofU Patient December 18, 2012Doctor did not spend an hour with me and re-diagnosed my condition without doing a complete exam nor did he seem educated on bedside manner or evaluating facts. I would not refer nor see him again.
UofU Patient November 27, 2012I was very distressed at my diagnosis of Parkinson's, and barely keeping it together emotionally. I think he was pretty uncomfortable with that, which surprised me. I would have thought he'd have experience with helping patients through a scary diagnosis.
UofU Patient November 19, 2012Actually enjoyed this appointment.
UofU Patient November 19, 2012Dr Sprecker is extremely kind and caring and professional all rolled into one. He acknowledged my previous nursing experience and took the time to ask me about it. I greatly appreciated that. He had some serious things to convey to me, however he did it in such a kind and caring manner.
UofU Patient November 08, 2012I feel that Dr. Shprecher is a very caring person. He makes you feel that you are important and takes time to explain everything to you.
UofU Patient October 22, 2012I was very pleased at the amount of time the doctor took with me and answering questions.
UofU Patient October 15, 2012My suggestions given over the internet were taken very seriously and Doc was totally prepared with amounts neede and where to put them...This was wonderful because it can take up lot of time trying to figure out where to put the shots...He took the time to get it all figured out the morning of my appt...Probably very early in the morning, knowing him...
UofU Patient October 15, 2012Dr Shprecher is fabulous. He seems to consider all the options and discuss them with me. He also answers any question via email rapidly. Still, I have more questions than time allows.
UofU Patient October 05, 2012Dr Shprecher and his assistants were extraordinary.
UofU Patient September 24, 2012I have been seeing Dr. Shprecher for three years. I've always thought he knew his medicine. His "bedside" manner has vastly improved as has his explanations for my condition and medical options. I have gained confidence in my treatment mainly through improvement in those areas.
UofU Patient September 10, 2012I was so disconnected after my diagnosis that my mind really went blank. So most information the doc gave me after this point was 'lost in translation'. However, I do know he was explaining everything I needed to know - I just couldn't concentrate on it.
UofU Patient September 03, 2012Felt very comfortable during my visit.
UofU Patient August 30, 2012Dr. S. seems to care very much.
UofU Patient August 13, 2012I feel very positive about my experience and would recommend the University of Utah hospital to anyone.
UofU Patient August 11, 2012prescription is far too costly dr refuses a ganeric
UofU Patient August 06, 2012DR SCHPRECHER IS, BY FAR, THE BEST DOCTOR I HAVE EVER HAD!
UofU Patient August 06, 2012Being very nervous and concerned about my problem Dr. Shprecher tried his very best to make me feel comfortable and not to be so worried. He expalined what I have and offered some hope.
UofU Patient August 01, 2012He spend more time than he probably had. Hopefully, he didn't miss an appointment that was elsewhere on campus. It was just so good to finally talk to a professional about Parkinson's. I have to say I'm still afraid of the damaging effects of the disease when taking medicines. Certainly had a hope for awhile that exercise and will power could keep the symptoms at bay. Everything has moved quickly in last 6 months.
UofU Patient July 30, 2012I appreciate Dr. Shprecher's expertize and the time spend dealing with my questions.
UofU Patient July 16, 2012He is sooo good at what he does I seldom feel the shots...He keeps a conversation going or is talking to me and its done before I realize he even gave it...I get probably about 30 or so shots and I only feel about 3 or 4...That is amazing as I have always
UofU Patient July 09, 2012I came from Japan for this appointment. He was thoughtful and kind. He spent time answering my questions and concerns. When I left I understood my condition and am hopeful about moving foward to a solution.

UofU Patient April 13, 2012I truly appreciated the written material that was given to us as to regards to my son's condition and what was needed to take care of him in the future.
UofU Patient March 30, 2012my deaf husband commented to me he finally understand the effects of Parkinson Disease on me after Dr. Shprecer took his time explaining in layman's language. Dr. even showed his power point presentation - the visual presentation helped both of us learn to accept and expect the effects of this disease- we are able to discuss about asking and acquiring future help from other agencies- such as nursing care at home - etc. Dr. Sprecher shows sensitivity and he treats us as if we are important.
UofU Patient March 22, 2012We appreciated the extra time Dr. Shprecher spent with us.
UofU Patient March 16, 2012I do feel that I am starting over with my "diagnosis" since the doctor feels that I do not have an ataxia, but what I am dealing with is neuropathy. That is where I started years ago with other neurologists. I guess this is just one of those difficult to determine causes.
UofU Patient March 16, 2012good man; difficult name to spell!
UofU Patient March 15, 2012We are always impressed with Dr Shprecher's knowledge and kindness and making sure we understand everything.
UofU Patient March 06, 2012Though the diagnosis was not one anyone would choose, an air of confidence the medical team displays, helps calm some of the uncertainty and fears the future has in store for me.
UofU Patient February 29, 2012good
UofU Patient February 18, 2012very good
UofU Patient February 16, 2012the future will tell I hope the treatments work.
