Felt very confident about the doctor and the resident. Wished I had thought to ask more questions. THey seemed very confident which installed confidence in me. So I just trusted the plan of treatment provided. Later, when reality struck and I was experiencing pain again, I wished I could talk to them and ask more questions about how common what I am experiencing is and if they could give me more understanding about why the dyskinesia and dystonia is happening to me. However, the email which I have used since has been most helpful.

Dr Shprecher is very empathetic and is good at explaining medicines and why he is recommending what he does. He then gives you written instructions.

For the first time in my life, I received answers to my health problem that made sense.

From my experience your neurological center is very proficient

I do not evr want to get shots from anyone else, so he better never leave me...We tried shots in new places and still waiting to see how they work at the month mark...

I was called later after this appointment and told by Dr. Shprecher's assistant that I had been prescribed a med that the Dr. hadn't told me about, so I was a bit confused. However, we got it cleared up and the Dr. worked with me on this drug.

Physician very generous with his time, allowing me to ask questions and discuss any concerns without feeling rushed. Too many times a physician seems to push things along and rush through the visit, many times leaving questions and concerns unanswered.

I feel very fortunate that I have been able to be examined by Dr. Shprecher. I believe he has just the right background and insights to help me with an illness that went a year-and-a-half without diagnosis until I was able to see him and Drs. Singleton and Gibson. not completely sure diagnosis is correct ? no Doctors have been sure of what the issue is, it seems, so I'm not really sure. I'm willing to try medication prescribed, as I have not had any success with any previous doctors in the past year. I am very hopeful this treatment will be successful.

Exceptional Dr. kind, caring, professional

Doctor did not spend an hour with me and re-diagnosed my condition without doing a complete exam nor did he seem educated on bedside manner or evaluating facts. I would not refer nor see him again.

I was very distressed at my diagnosis of Parkinson's, and barely keeping it together emotionally. I think he was pretty uncomfortable with that, which surprised me. I would have thought he'd have experience with helping patients through a scary diagnosis.

Dr Sprecker is extremely kind and caring and professional all rolled into one. He acknowledged my previous nursing experience and took the time to ask me about it. I greatly appreciated that. He had some serious things to convey to me, however he did it in such a kind and caring manner.

My suggestions given over the internet were taken very seriously and Doc was totally prepared with amounts neede and where to put them...This was wonderful because it can take up lot of time trying to figure out where to put the shots...He took the time to get it all figured out the morning of my appt...Probably very early in the morning, knowing him...

I have been seeing Dr. Shprecher for three years. I've always thought he knew his medicine. His "bedside" manner has vastly improved as has his explanations for my condition and medical options. I have gained confidence in my treatment mainly through improvement in those areas.

I was so disconnected after my diagnosis that my mind really went blank. So most information the doc gave me after this point was 'lost in translation'. However, I do know he was explaining everything I needed to know - I just couldn't concentrate on it.

DR SCHPRECHER IS, BY FAR, THE BEST DOCTOR I HAVE EVER HAD!

Being very nervous and concerned about my problem Dr. Shprecher tried his very best to make me feel comfortable and not to be so worried. He expalined what I have and offered some hope.

He spend more time than he probably had. Hopefully, he didn't miss an appointment that was elsewhere on campus. It was just so good to finally talk to a professional about Parkinson's. I have to say I'm still afraid of the damaging effects of the disease when taking medicines. Certainly had a hope for awhile that exercise and will power could keep the symptoms at bay. Everything has moved quickly in last 6 months.

my deaf husband commented to me he finally understand the effects of Parkinson Disease on me after Dr. Shprecer took his time explaining in layman's language. Dr. even showed his power point presentation - the visual presentation helped both of us learn to accept and expect the effects of this disease- we are able to discuss about asking and acquiring future help from other agencies- such as nursing care at home - etc. Dr. Sprecher shows sensitivity and he treats us as if we are important.

I do feel that I am starting over with my "diagnosis" since the doctor feels that I do not have an ataxia, but what I am dealing with is neuropathy. That is where I started years ago with other neurologists. I guess this is just one of those difficult to determine causes.
