Hilary A. Hewes, MD

  • Dr. Hewes completed her fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the University of Utah/Primary Children’s Medical Center and joined the staff as an Assistant Professor. Her academic interests include EMS for children, disaster medicine, integrating ultrasound technology into the pediatric emergency medicine setting, childhood violence and injury prevention, and international medicine.

    Dr. Hewes received her undergraduate education at the University of Oregon, and went on to graduate medical school at the University of New Mexico. She completed a residency in pediatrics, served as a chief resident, and then completed her fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the University of Utah/Primary Children’s Hospital. She is currently an Associate Professor in Pediatrics. Her academic interests include EMS for children, disaster medicine and planning, pediatric readiness, pediatric trauma, and childhood violence and injury prevention. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
