Sarah A. Vogler, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Colon and Rectal Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine and Huntsman Cancer Center. As a fellowship trained Colon and Rectal Surgeon, Dr. Vogler’s expertise is in all aspects of the care of patients with colorectal diseases and disorders. This includes cancer, fecal incontinence, rectal prolapse, diverticular disease, hemorrhoids, volvulus, infections, fistulas, fissures, pilonidal disease, hereditary diseases of the colorectum and functional disorders of the lower gastrointestinal tract. She performs a full range of diagnostic tests including colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, pelvic floor functional tests and endorectal ultrasound.

Dr. Vogler specializes in the surgical treatment of pelvic floor disorders, including fecal incontinence, anal sphincter repairs and rectal prolapse. She is part of the multidisciplinary team dedicated to the treatment of pelvic floor disorders at the Pelvic Continence Center at the University of Utah Hospital.

Dr. Vogler also treats colon and rectal cancers and is actively involved in the multi-disciplinary treatment planning conference at Huntsman Cancer Center. This integrated team of colon and rectal surgeons, gastroenterologists, oncologists and radiologists, provide colorectal cancer patients with the highest possible level of care.
Dr. Vogler received her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2004. She completed her general surgery training at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics and her fellowship training in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the University of Minnesota.
