Phil Gnadinger, M.D., M.P.H. is a board-certified anesthesiologist, providing anesthesia for all types of operations and procedures. Dr. Gnadinger has specialized expertise and fellowship training in perioperative echocardiography, an important diagnostic tool and monitor for patients undergoing cardiac surgery or those with severe cardiovascular disease. He also serves as co-director of the University Preoperative Clinic, focused on optimizing medical conditions, with the goal of reducing risks to patients during and after surgery.

Dr. Gnadinger received his Baccalaureate of Arts degree in biology at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado in 1995, his Masters of Public Health degree in environmental health sciences/epidemiology at Columbia University School of Public Health in New York, New York in 1999, his medical degree at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, Colorado in 2004, an internship in internal medicine at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado in 2005, completed a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Utah in June 2008 and a fellowship in perioperative echocardiography in 2009. He was appointed as an Instructor in the Department of Anesthesiology, University of Utah School of Medicine in July 2008 and promoted to Assistant Professor in July 2009.
