Academic Bio

Dr. Axelrod received her Baccalaureate of Arts degree in psychology at Stanford University in Stanford, California in 1999, her medical degree at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas in 2005, a transitional internship at the Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan in 2006, completed a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Utah in June of 2009, and a postdoctoral fellowship in acute pain/regional anesthesia at the University of Utah School of Medicine in 2010. She was appointed as an Instructor in the Department of Anesthesiology, University of Utah School of Medicine, in July 2009 and promoted to Assistant Professor in July 2010.
