Bio

Dr. Carbone is a general pediatrician with an interest and experience in the area of autism and related developmental disabilities. He holds a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah. As an academic pediatrician, Dr Carbone works closely with families of children with disabilities. His clinical settings are varied and include Utah's Early Intervention Program, the Title V CSHCN program, and University's Child Development Clinic. His general pediatric practice is within the University of Utah Neurobehavioral H.O.M.E. Program, a lifespan clinic that provides comprehensive services for individuals with disabilities. He is a current member of the Council on Children with Disabilities Autism Subcommittee of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Within the area of education he is currently the autism coordinator for the Utah Regional Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) Program. Dr Carbone has lectured extensively both locally and nationally around the topic of ASDs including delivering the keynote addresses at the Act Early Autism Summits, sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Maternal and Child Health Bureau
