Bio

Dr. Marcella Woiczik has a general pediatric orthopaedic practice based primarily at Shriners Hospitals for Children, Salt Lake City. Her scope of practice includes the management of pediatric trauma (at Primary Children's Medical Center), lower extremity and foot deformities (i.e clubfeet), as well as congenital, neuromuscular, and genetic disorders, including osteogenesis imperfecta. She has special interest in hip pathology and hip preservation, particularly related to developmental dysplasia of the hip, Perthes disease, and slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE).

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Woiczik participates in pediatric orthopaedic outreach, through an annual medical mission to underserved regions in Central America.

Academic Bio

Dr. Marcella Woiczik is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics. She received her medical degree at the Medical College of Ohio - University of Toledo. She completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin, followed by pediatric orthopaedic fellowship training at the University of Utah.

Dr. Woiczik is a full time pediatric orthopaedic surgeon, with research concentration in clubfeet and lower extremity deformities. She also has specific academic interest in hip pathology, particularly dysplasia and young adult hip pain.

Dr. Woiczik is an active committee member in the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.
