Bio

Dr. Mulcaire-Jones is a Hospitalist at the University of Utah Hospital. He is a specialist in the care of hospitalized patients. Originally from Butte, MT he received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Gonzaga (Spokane, WA) in 2004. He subsequently obtained his Medical Degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin (Milwaukee, WI) in 2008. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Utah in 2011.

Since completing his residency he has been a full-time Hospitalist at the University Of Utah Medical Center. In this capacity he provides comprehensive inpatient care to patients with a wide variety of complex medical issues, provides education to medical students and residents rotating through Internal Medicine. In addition to being a Hospitalist, his other academic interests include providing education to medical students and residents and appropriate antibiotic use in cellulitis and quality improvement and patient safety. He also has an interest in venous thromboembolic disease in the critically ill.

Outside the hospital Dr. Mulcaire-Jones enjoys mountain biking, canyoneering, cooking, rock climbing, skiing and traveling.
