After receiving her BSN at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, in 1978, Jean spent from 1978-2009 working as a nurse in the coronary care unit, psychiatry (adolescent as well as adult), and orthopaedics. In 2009 Jean started in the MSN program at Westminster College, in Salt Lake City. While attending Westminster she also worked in case management at the University Orthopaedic Center at the University of Utah. Upon completing her MSN degree in May of 2011, she joined the comprehensive spine care team at the Clinical Neurosciences Center Department of Neurosurgery as a nurse practitioner. Jean brings a wealth of clinical skills to our team.

My PA suggested for my carpal tunnel syndrome I switch professions. I assured the PA this would not resolve my surgical issue. Only after demanding a test was I able to justify getting my surgical resolution. The University of Utah should reconsider the physician assistant program.

I don't feel like my primary concern was addressed during this visit. I came in for help with pain, and I was referred for more diagnostics, which required a wait of another week. I feel like I am being given the runaround while the hospital continues to require additional diagnostic tests, which is costing me more money, while not being given any substantial relief from the pain.
