Dr. Myers completed specialty training with Dr. Jack McAninch at University of California, San Fransisco. His fellowship was in trauma and urologic reconstructive surgery. In his practice, Dr. Myers treats a variety of conditions. These include conditions like urethral strictures, ureteral scarring from previous surgery or congenital development problems, complications from radiation treatments, fistula from the urinary tract, neurogenic bladder from spinal cord injury or other diseases, urinary diversion, female incontinence, and male incontinence after prostate cancer treatment. Dr. Myers has a very busy clinical practice in urologic reconstruction and performs approximately 80 urethral stricture surgeries and about 40 urinary diversions per year.

Can't say enough good. I have many -ologists to help me deal with MS and diabetes, but this one has made the most difference in my quality of life by helping me gain control over this troubling aspect of my health. Very, very grateful.

Care provider (also known as "doctor") saved my life and my urinary tract and continues to be my safeguard against the serious threats I face. He is a superb doctor, urologist, and person. I was a little disappointed that Dr. Meyers didn't talk to me personally before the cysto to address the issues I was concerned about. He came in after I was on the procedure table and trying to find out the year's past history as things were rush, rush to get the procedure underway so he wasn't really concentrating on what I was saying.

he asked us if I knew that a urologist was a surgeon. I said YES since my wife and I both have Koch pouches and have had many urological surgeries and have been dealing with urologist from Johns Hopkins Dr. Schatz to Dr. Donald Skinner from Los Angeles who was the first to deal with the Koch Pouch bladder 20 years ago. Your doctor was not helpful and seemed dis-interested in helping me unless I needed surgery.

No lab work done. Dr. Meyers is great and just did a follow-up. I have seen him before, and he's a nice guy who understands me pretty well. His Resident was also there, and the two of them were not put off by my physical disability - they talked directly to me, and not to my Sister, who did help when they couldn't understand me.

I really hope that Dr. Myers follows up with researching how to get rid of the 'fat.' When I was having the constant infections the cloudy urine was always referred to as having an over abundance of white blood cells. This helps clarify the question about milky urine.

Academic Bio

Dr. Jeremy Myers grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended the Colorado College in Colorado Springs, CO and he graduated with honors in biochemistry. He then stayed in Colorado for Medical School at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. After medical school, he completed 2 years of general surgery training and 4 years of urology residency, also at University of Colorado.

After completing his residency, Dr. Myers spent an additional fellowship year training with Dr. Jack McAninch at University of California, San Francisco and the San Francisco General Hospital. His specialty training with Dr. McAninch was in urologic trauma and reconstruction. The emphasis of Dr. Myers' specialty training dealt with the management of acute trauma, as well as reconstruction of the urinary tract in patients with problems from urethral strictures, radiation complications, incontinence, ureteral strictures, and neurogenic bladder.

Dr. Myers has been very active in academic urology and has published numerous articles dealing with the treatment of urethral strictures, neurogenic bladder, and acute genitourinary trauma. He has also made several contributions to textbooks in urology. He has served as a clinical instructor at the University of California, San Francisco and is currently an associate professor at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He is board certified in urology and a member of the American Urologic Association. He is a member of the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Myers is a founding member and previous president of the Trauma and Urinary Reconstructive Network of Surgeons (TURNS - University of Utah is one of 12 centers that collaborate in the study of patients treated for a variety of conditions in trauma and reconstructive urology. This network is designed to collect centralized data and provide sophisticated analysis of both surgical and patient reported outcomes from urethral stricture surgery, male incontinence and a variety of other conditions. He is also primary investigator in two large multi-institutional studies examing the outcomes and managment of bladder, renal, and pelvic fracture urethral injury sponsored by the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (AAST - He is also the primary investigator of a multi-institutional study on patient reported outcomes for different bladder management strategies in patients with spinal cord injury; a study that is supported by a grant from the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI -

In addition, Dr Myers is co-director of the University of Utah Center for Reconstructive Urology and Men's Health.
