Bio

Dr. Dixon received her medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. She completed Pediatric residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and Pediatric Critical Care fellowship at the University of Utah/Primary Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Dixon is board certified in Pediatrics and Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care.

Dr. Dixon is currently an attending physician in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Primary Children’s Medical Center where she cares for children with a wide variety of critical illnesses and injuries.

Academic Bio

Dr. Dixon received her undergraduate degree from Brown University and her medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. She trained in Pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at the University of Utah/Primary Children’s Medical Center.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Dixon spent 10 years in pediatric health services research and quality improvement. She worked at Boston Children’s Hospital and the University of Vermont College of Medicine on local and national projects focused on improving health care to adolescents, teenage parents, homeless and runaway youth, and children in foster care.

Dr. Dixon joined the faculty at the University of Utah in 2013 as an Instructor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care. Dr. Dixon’s research interests include health services research and outcomes after critical illness and trauma, particularly child abuse and severe traumatic brain injury.
