reasons for the poor marks: I came in having witnessed an allergic reaction and was told on multiple occasions during the visit that it probably wasn't an allergy. turns out it was. I didn't feel listened to, understood, or cared for.

August 05, 2014

Great doctor. He is very conscientious about the care of my child and is good with parents and children. I can tell that he really wants the best care and outcome for my child.

July 28, 2014

While we were talking Dr. Firzst got out his cell phone, and at first I thought it was strange that he was on it, then he showed me a great pollen app I can use to keep track of my allergies on, super cool, and so nice to have resources shared with me to help with my allergies!!!!!! Totally LOVED the level of care I received.

July 19, 2014

I found Dr Firszt very aloof and distant. He seemed rather unapproachable. The information he gave us was good, the way he engaged us and treated us it seemed as though he was too busy to sit down and try to understand our concerns and feelings.

July 15, 2014

I know I'm in good hands here. I have not had any allergy problems since I have first started coming here.

July 07, 2014

I have complete confidence in this doctor and the staff.

June 23, 2014

very accommodating to my needs

June 18, 2014

The doctor took time to listen and understand the reason for the visit. He explained everything very well and he was not in a hurry nor did he ignore me to type on the computer.

June 11, 2014

I always have a good experience

May 21, 2014

He dumbs things down for me. I appreciate it. AND my allergies are better

May 21, 2014

Trust is earned...I do not NOT have confidence in Dr. Firszt. I appreciate his thoroughness, and his response in My Chart about the result of my blood test, and I look forward to a more detailed discussion of those results at my next scheduled visit.

May 06, 2014

He made a comment about the type of insurance we had saying he can't do anything because of it. He did not show any concern of the severity of my son's condition. He would not do any of the tests I asked to be done. And then told me he does not want to see him again and to just keep taking him to the dermatologist (who he called by first name) and using steroids. He did not look at or touch my son in any way while in the office which I think is necessary when diagnosing a skin condition. I am very displeased with him and his demeanor while my son was being seen. He made me feel like I'm wrong for trying to find what's causing his condition instead of just covering it up with steroids. I will never use him as a doctor again and I will not recommend him to anybody.

April 24, 2014

Dr. Firzst seemed distracted, forgot everything about my daughter's situation even though we had been in one week before this visit and he was looking at the computer records, and he gave odd and incomplete information. On our first visit, he seemed like a problem solver, but the second visit he treated us like we were a problem. It was a truly unpleasant visit and we only spent about 7 minutes with the doctor (and 8 with Richard), after waiting 2 1/2 hours.

March 28, 2014

The worlds best doctor ever he is absolutely amazing and did more for my son then any doctor has in 20 months which is his whole life! ! ! We need all the doctors to be like him. . !

February 24, 2014

At first, Dr. Firzst seemed a bit cold--but as we've gotten to know him we like him more and more. He is incredibly knowledgeable and I've recommended him many times over!

February 16, 2014

doctor was condescending and confrontational. the worst bedside manners and experience I've had with a doctor. he showed no compassion for my situation or understanding of my concerns. he acted as if I came to see a doctor about a mosquito bite. I would have rather the nurse told me the doctor refused to see me, which would have been frustrating and insulting, then sit there with his attitude of being superior and like I was wasting his precious time. I've been miserable and didn't just come in the first sign of symptoms. I wasn't trying to self diagnose but I had given some thought about my situation and possible causes so that I wasn't wasting my time. I couldn't wait to get done with the a appointment and left extremely frustrated and irritated. patient respect and compassion go a long way.

February 07, 2014

the resident didn't really understand our problem and was not recommending the right treatment for us but Dr. Firszt was great! We were very happy with him.

January 21, 2014

Both the Dr and the Nurse talked to me making sure I was understanding everything

December 22, 2013

very knowledgeable and thurough

December 13, 2013

I felt that Dr. Firszt was very knowledgeable about my son's condition, however his bedside manner was rigid and cold. I felt stupid and like "I" had done something wrong when another doctor did testing and results that Dr. Firszt did not agree with. I simply want my child well and will do whatever it takes to get him that way, but I don't like feeling belittled in the process. For now, I will return for further treatment, only because the doctor described what he felt was going on and his own tests showed just that. However, if that kind of bedside manner continues....I might consider going elsewhere. It's hard to hear what someone has to tell you, when they are making you feel stupid.

December 06, 2013

My experience with professionals has been good.

December 03, 2013

Dr. Penrod is the best doctor I've ever had.

November 25, 2013

Dr was very knowledgeable and seemed to care about the patients. Could work on being more personable. Things like looking at the patient/parent in the eyes while talking to them (not just at the computer while typing/answering questions), smiling, shaking their hand when you first walk in the room, sitting down to talk to them about how they are doing before typing on the computer would help. Also listening to any concerns the patient has even if they aren't related to the allergy instead of interrupting to say the concerns aren't related.

November 22, 2013

Dr First was excellent with my daughter as a patient. He treated myself and my family with respect and understanding as well. We asked many questions and he provided answers or directed us where to get the best and most accurate answers for questions beyond his scope.

November 11, 2013

All providers have been very nice to work with

November 11, 2013

Great experience all around.

November 09, 2013

It was nice to have a doctor take the time to explain to us what we were dealing with and how to handle any situations when dealing with a food allergy. We left feeling we were more prepared with information, honestly it was a weight lifted off of our shoulders.

November 06, 2013

I was very impressed with Dr. Firszt!

October 29, 2013

I appreciate that Dr. Firszt shook my hand and introduced himself upon entering the room. After a long appointment and anxious to see Dr Firszt rather than the resident, I felt like Dr. Firszt was rushed. Also, There was only one small chair in the exam room. Two chairs would have fit. My daughter sat in the chair while I stood holding my son the ENTIRE appointment. By the time we finally saw Dr. Firszt, I was exhausted, we all were standing in the room (except for my daughter in the ONE chair) and it seemed rushed, especially when juggling a fussy toddler.

October 14, 2013

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Firszt and his resident. He was very receptive to my concerns and addressed all of my questions directly. He was very approachable and understanding. He taught me how to diminish my allergies in a multilevel way using my diet, cleaning techniques, natural remedies, along with prescriptions.

October 07, 2013

He walked into the room, didn't ask a single history question, stated he knew what our child has & named several common symptoms (of which our child had none). We had to interrupt him to give him a description of what was really going on with our child. After hearing the description, it seemed as though he had already made up his mind and was not considering the corrected information.

October 07, 2013

We recommend Dr Firszt all the time to other children suffering from allergies.

September 28, 2013

The doctor was amazing and so kind.

September 25, 2013

good experience

August 26, 2013

Dr. Firszt was amazing. He listened to everything I had to say. Explained what he thought the problem was, next steps for treatment and then follow up. He also had me do some tests there but asked first if I had the time to do them. I also received a follow up phone call from him explaining the tests and that I needed to see another doctor who he had called to see about getting me into his clinic. The instant care and then follow up care have been great. So happy to have him as my new doctor.

August 12, 2013

It would be nice to have an action plan in writing because when I leaved I couldn't remember when I was supposed to give her over the counter meds vs. her prescriptions. Maybe a check list.

June 25, 2013

Can't say enough good things. Dr. Firszt is wonderful and we really appreciate all he does for us. We have referred him to 2 other people as a result of our good experience

June 17, 2013

Dr Firszt was very professional and was indeed concerned and new why I was there and about my past history. Asked specific questions about my health and why I was seeking a second opinion. I would of left and not come back if he hadn't of done all his own testing even though we had result from other tests performed just months before. He did exactly what I wanted and needed and I am happy with how he took his time to visit with me on results and the courteous manner in which he gave me his attention. I didn't tell him this but this is the type of treatment I had been looking to receive for a year. Dr Firszt is highly recommended.

June 04, 2013

Dr. First (sp?) was excellent. He presented several different options, answered my questions and we developed a plan together that would work for me.

May 06, 2013

Dr. Firszt is an excellent doctor. His response time to questions submitted after the appointment was great.

April 15, 2013

I almost never see the care provider. It would be nice to have a follow up every so often. I work almost totally with the CNA.

April 09, 2013

I have high confidence in the doctor. Would appreciate more explanation of what to expect from condition, effects of drugs in short and long term and potential causes of my condition.

April 08, 2013

At first, I was taken a back by Dr. Firzst's personality. He comes off a bit cold and very clinical. I kept coming because I knew he was good at what he did. The longer I've gone, the more I understand his personality and it doesn't bother me anymore. But, I almost stopped going at first because he can be quite blunt. I didn't feel he took my concerns seriously because my son was so young. I felt he brushed me off since babies can have lots of reasons for reactions. Once we found out my son's disease and that there was reason for concern he's been on board and very thorough.

April 02, 2013

My experience seeing Dr. Firszt was excellent all around. He was able to clear up a lot of questions and concerns I had and was very caring and thoughtful with no signs of having to hurry along to the next patient.

March 16, 2013

It took close to 2 weeks before anyone got back to me about the lab work, but once the doctor contacted me he spent close to 1 hour with me on the phone. I felt very good about Camas' treatment plan and available options!

March 13, 2013

Dr. Firszt is our favorite doctor ever! He explains everything very clearly, as well as explaining relevant research to assist us in making an educated decision for our son. My son loves going to see Dr. Firszt and is always excited when we have an appointment coming up.

February 25, 2013

This is the first time I can honestly say that I didn't like one of the U's physicians (and I've seen my fair share). After discussing my symptoms with one of the assistants, Dr. Firszt came in and told me, in a condescending way might I add, that he wasn't convinced I had a food allergy. He made me feel like I was wasting his time, but because I insisted that I'd like to rule things out, he reluctantly ran some tests. And after the test results came up negative, he walked in with a smug look on his face because he had been right. After months of waiting to get in to see an allergist, I felt stupid for even coming in to see him. I will never go back to Dr. Firszt, and I will never recommend him to any other potential patient.

February 05, 2013

Dr Firszt is an excellent doctor. He has changed our son's life!

January 31, 2013

I found the care provider to be condescending and at times arrogant

January 22, 2013

first experience with an "allergy" and now i can finally relate to other allergy sufferers. This clinic is a huge asset for our organization. My hope is that appropriate access and clinics are in alignment with the demand, as i am unfamiliar with the demand.

December 17, 2012

I have never had a doctor just sit and talk me through a problem like Dr. Firszt. It was so nice to feel like he genuinely cared about my situation.

November 08, 2012

i really like him!!! i feel better already and its only been a week!

October 09, 2012

I was very pleased with my entire experience.

September 18, 2012

Dr. Firszt was very nice. He too seemed very hurried. It felt like the staff was dividing time between too many patients. I didn't feel like we really had anyone's full attention. I wish Dr. Firszt would have listened more to my concerns. We didn't really come away from the appointment with any new information.

September 03, 2012

Dr. Fritz seems to already have a full practice. Waiting time at the Greenwood clinic was several months out and at PMC it is 6 months. Dr. Fritz came accross as busy.

June 04, 2012

Dr. Firszt was awesome at explaining the entire process of what I was looking to have done and the risks, etc. He seemed very genuinely concerned for my well being.

June 04, 2012

Provider was offish at the beginning of my appt, but then warmed up.
