Bio

Jong Hun Kim , M.D. is an Assistant Professor (Clinical) at the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Internal Medicine, University of Utah. He graduated from Korea University College of Medicine in 2002 in Seoul, South Korea and served Korean military duty by working as a public health doctor in South Korea from 2002 to 2005. He completed Internal Medicine Residency training at St.Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center affiliated with Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York city from 2006 to 2009. Then he went to University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for Infectious Diseases Fellowship training from 2009 to 2011. Upon completion of his infectious diseases fellowship training, he joined the faculty as an Instructor (Clinical) and he was recently promoted to an Assistant Professor (Clinical) as of July 1 2012. As a board certified infectious diseases specialist physician, his clinical interests include infectious complications in immunocompromised hosts including solid organ/bone marrow transplantation recipients and HIV/AIDS patients and he has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals.
