Bio

Dr. Allison Nitsche, a native of New Orleans, completed her adult psychiatry residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and child psychiatry and community psychiatry fellowship training at Emory University in Atlanta before moving to Utah in 2010. In Atlanta, she also received her Master of Public Health degree with a focus on Health Policy and Management. For over a decade, she has provided mental health care to children, adolescents, and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings as well as in the community. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Utah who works with children and their families in the hospital setting at UNI and teaches trainees not only about child psychiatry but also the other systems that interface with mental health including child welfare, juvenile justice, primary care, and education
