  • Casey Gradick, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor at the University of Utah. As an Internal Medicine-Pediatrics hospitalist, his clinical interests include medical education, empathy in medicine, and global/underserved/rural health. He took over as Program Director for the Combined Med-Peds Residency Program in 2019. He is also Project Director of a HRSA to build a Rural Pathway and curriculum for the Med-Peds program.

    Dr. Gradick is originally from Minnesota and received his MD and MPH from the University of Minnesota. He received training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics from the University of Utah, where he also served as Chief Resident. He is currently a member of the American College of Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. His research interest is developing novel ways to use machine learning and natural language processing in evaluation of residency applications. He also enjoys trail running, cycling, plucking on the guitar, going to concerts, and playing with his daughter Mia.
