Surgery is one treatment that can help patients, but not all patients need surgery, and not all patients need the same surgery. Treatment decisions should be a collaborative effort between the patient and the surgeon after a discussion of the diagnosis, options for treatment, benefits of treatment and risks of treatment alternatives.

In his free time Dr. Thomas is a Utah out door enthusiast, skier, hiker and avid cyclist.
