How fast should your heart beat?
Finding your target heart rate can be extremely beneficial in helping you get the most aerobic benefit during exercise. Your target heart rate is based on your maximum age-related heart rate, which should stay between 50 percent and 70 percent for moderate-intensity physical activity, and between 70 percent and 85 percent for vigorous-intensity exercise.
Do not use the target heart rate measurement if you are taking medication that affects your heart rate. Talk with your physician if you have a heart condition or before beginning any exercise regimen.
